Keeping in Touch with Family and Friends

Landslide
written by Stevie Nicks

I took my love and I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too
Well...

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older, too
Well I'm getting older too

So, take this love and take it down
Year and if you climb a mountain and ya turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well maybe
Well maybe
Well maybe the landslide will bring you down.

I know that being the first born in a family carries a heavy load sometimes.

I was the first born and I remember my mother telling me "Wait until you have children of your own, then you will understand."

Now I know what that means.

Until you have a child of your own, you don't realize that there is a actually a time that you have to grow up, and sometimes it takes a child to help you do that.

The child is the one that reminds you that family is really the only thing in life that matters.

They are WHO you are and they are who you can be proud of.

I am proud of my son, Jeremy, who showed me what it means to be who I am.

Turn Around

Artists: The Kingston Trio from their 1964 LP. "Time To Think"
Words and Music by Harry Belafonte, Alan Greene, and Malvina Reynolds

Where are you going my little one, little one
Where are you going my baby my own
Turn around and you’re two, turn around and you’re four
Turn around and you’re a young man going out of the door
Turn around (turn around)
Turn around (turn around)
Turn around and you’re a young man going out of the door

Where are you going my little one, little one
Baseballs and video games, where have you gone
Turn around and you’re tiny, turn around and you’re grown
Turn around and you’re a young man with babes of your own

Turn around and you’re a young man,
Turn around and you’re a young man with babes of your own

Where are you going my little one, little one
Where are you going my baby my own
Turn around and you’re two, turn around and you’re four
Turn around and you’re a young man going out of my door
